Court hears of hillbilly heroin deals around Camperdown involving Rebels motorcycle member

A MEMBER of the outlawed Rebels motorcycle gang who ran a Camperdown hillbilly heroin ring is being assessed for a community corrections order.

Andrew Douglas Pullen, 29, of Gnotuk Road, pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court yesterday to trafficking Oxycontin and cannabis, assault, theft and attempted theft. Mid last year Warrnambool police began Operation Underfeed to focus on the trafficking of Oxycontin in the Camperdown area by Pullen.

The Victoria Supreme Court issued a telephone intercept order and between July and August Pullen was involved in 142 text messages and conversations relating to trafficking drugs, particularly Oxycontin.

Police detailed almost daily conversations and text messages between Pullen and a number of Camperdown people, many of whom legally obtained Oxycontin through prescriptions.

PLASTIC Easter eggs in pastel colors hung in windows along Friendship Street in Mayfair yesterday afternoon, and children played tag along the curb. Outside one rowhouse, a puddle of blood dried and darkened on the lawn.

The blood led from the puddle to the home of Michael "Brick" Lane, 31, who sources say is president of the Northeast Philadelphia Chapter of the Pagans Motorcycle Club. He was still alive last night, more than 24 hours after his cousin apparently shot him in the face and shoulder Saturday night.

Police: Harley thief a member of outlaw motorcycle club

Gallatin police have identified the man believed to have stolen two Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the city.

Matthew Williams, 29, is wanted by police for thefts last month and in October, according to a Nixle alert sent out by police. The bikes were stolen from Gallatin residents who had advertised on the Craigslist website.

Police say Williams is a member of the outlaw motorcycle club known as “Sin City Deciples.” Several members of this group have also been indicted on federal charges and all should be considered armed and dangerous, police warn.

Williams has been identified as a suspect in similar crimes in Bowling Green, Ky. where he is also accused of attempted murder, as well as several jurisdictions in Middle Tennessee.

The Gallatin Police Department has outstanding warrants on Williams for theft over $10,000, and is seeking help locating him. Williams may be operating a black GMC Yukon or black Ford Expedition.

Alleged Bandidos outlaw bikie gang members arrested by Queensland Police in Brisbane, Gold Coast sting

Queensland detectives have arrested seven people in an outlaw motorcycle gang sting in south-east Queensland.

Police launched simultaneous dawn raids across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Logan targeting alleged members of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang.

Those arrested include the president and sergeant of arms of the Centro and West End branches.

Police say they expect to lay charges against the men for offences including the extortion of money and property and the serious assault of a number of people.

The charges are expected to be laid later today.

The Sunday raids follow a 10-day operation in the Queensland-New South Wales border area, which involved police from both states and the Australian Federal Police.

On Friday, police said they had arrested eight alleged bikies, shut down the Odin Warriors clubhouse at Tweed Heads and the Mongols base at Chinderah, and seized weapons, drugs, a pill press and cash.

Battle over information continues in Hells Angels case

LAKEPORT -- A battle for information continues in the case of three Hells Angels Motorcycle Club members who allegedly beat a member of a rival motorcycle club nearly three years ago.

The court revisited the case Friday afternoon to address a motion by the defense on behalf of defendants Timothy R. Bianchi, Nicholas F. Carrillo and Josh L. Johnson. The defense asked for information they allege may prove a connection between the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Vagos Motorcycle Club.

The motion was previously reviewed on March 7, but Judge David W. Herrick ruled the motion was too broad and instructed the defense to rewrite it. Herrick reviewed the rewritten motion, but presented conflicts with some of the language on the amended motion.

Herrick said he would rewrite some of the conflicting language on the motion and return for ruling Friday. Setting of trial dates will also be discussed during that hearing.

114 people charged in multiagency effort to cut violent street, motorcycle gangs in Detroit

Local, state and federal agencies cooperated to charge 114 people of crimes connected with violent street and motorcycle gangs in Detroit the past year, U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade announced Friday.

Largely “worst of the worst offenders,” many of the people targeted through the investigations had violent histories, and citizens’ tips initiated many of the cases, McQuade said at a news conference at her office.

Among people charged in the cases were members of the Bounty Hunter Bloods, the Almighty Vice Lord Nation and the Phantom Outlaw Motorcycle Club.

Officials announced the Detroit One coalition at year ago, and McQuade in describing progress cited a 15 percent reduction in Detroit homicides, from 386 in 2012 to 336 in 2013. She said a similar previous effort in Washington, D.C., also coincided with a decline in homicides.
