Victims' bodies were found in a field behind house in rural area

Quebec provincial police have identified one of the victims in a Vaudreuil-Dorion double homicide as Rock Machine member Joseph "Fuego" Fluet.

Fluet, 45, was one of two men who were shot and killed yesterday afternoon in a field behind a home on Montée d'Alstonvale.

The Sûreté du Québec still hasn't determined whether there is a link between Fluet and the other victim, who was also in his 40s.

Jackie Nadeau lives in a home with a clear view of the field where the two men were shot. She moved to the neighbourhood two months ago.

"I heard three shots. It was scary. Police started to come everywhere, all day," she said. "It was just nerve-wracking because we figured it had to be murder. There were so many people, so many ambulances."

The SQ's forensics team has been at the scene since this morning. The canine unit as well as a helicopter were deployed to comb the area and make sure there wasn't a third victim.
