Multiple arrests made, two suspects still sought in Blue Jay Tavern brawl

ROTTERDAM -- Rotterdam police have arrested a number of suspects in a brawl March 19 at the Blue Jay Tavern -- and they're asking for the public's help to locate two more.

Shortly after midnight March 19, officers were dispatched to the tavern for a fight call. On arrival, they located two victims, one of whom had injuries that required transportation to the hospital. All suspects had left the scene before police arrived.

Using surveillance footage from the Blue Jay Tavern, City of Schenectady Street Camera System, and several other surrounding local businesse,s Rotterdam Police Detective Division was able to identify several suspects in the matter.

Police say they found about 25 men from three separate motorcycle gangs responded to the tavern in search of a rival motorcycle club member. They remained on the scene for about 15 minutes.

Police said when they were leaving, an argument started between several of the motorcycle club members and three bystanders who were patrons of the bar. Police said motorcycle club members initiated a physical altercation with the bystanders, and a total of 11 club members assaulted one victim, leaving him with serious injuries. Police said a second victim escaped with minor injuries, and the third was able to get inside the bar without injury.

Working with the assistance of the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office, Troy Police Department, Stillwater Police Department, Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, and New York State Police, Rotterdam detectives have so far arrested seven people in the case.

George Mott III was arrested and charged with Riot in the 1st degree, a class E felony. George Mott 4th, Jacob Meyer, Richard Richard, Eric Richards, Shane Judeikis, and George Judeikis have all been arrested and charged with Gang Assault in the 1st degree, a class B felony, and Riot in the 1st degree and Conspiracy in the 4th degree (both class E felonies).

Rotterdam police are searching for two additional suspects, Paul F. Gervasio and Chad E. Thomas, both last known to reside in Troy.

The Rotterdam Police Detective Division is asking anyone who has information on the whereabouts of these men to contact the department.
