Charges withdrawn

Originally, the rider nicknamed “The Beard” was accused of conspiracy, gangsterism and the possession of stolen property of a sum of money from the sale of cocaine.

However, the charge of conspiracy was dropped by the prosecution and that of gangsterism, has been withdrawn following a decision by the same judge Royer, on July 27.

His lawyer, ms. Mylène Lareau, pleaded that if ever Cazzetta had to be found guilty of handling stolen goods at the end of his trial, where a verdict would be expected in march 2018, it will be “for all practical purposes, already served his sentence,” taking into account the period of provisional detention already passed.

The biker, a native of the district of Saint-Henri was the founder of the Rock Machine in the late 1980s after being part of the SS of Pointe-aux-Trembles in the sides of Maurice “Mom” Boucher, while the latter joined the Hells.

Cazzetta, however, was arrested, extradited to the United States and convicted of cocaine importation. He has done jail just before a deadly war breaks out between the two gangs in Quebec for the control of the drug market.
